Foggy Weather = Great photo ops!

Years ago I was visiting my uncle on the east coast and one morning woke up to thick fog. I thought I can not miss this opportunity to go make some mood images. My uncle who is an artist was having some work done to his house that morning and as I passed the workman on my way out of the house the fellow turned to me and said it’s not a very good day to take photographs. I replied to him no its a perfect day to make images. This incident has stuck with me ever since, to the point if I get up today and look out the window and find fog, I react like a kid in a candy store and can’t get out the door fast enough.

The great thing about fog is that if you are patient enough it will reveal or conceal just enough to make the scene you are trying to photograph more interesting and dramatic. So next time its foggy you can bet I will be out there make more images ..... will you!
