COVID19

Corona Virus COVID19                                            Written March 25, 2020

This afternoon I woke from a short nap and reminded myself of a statement I had made to my wife yesterday or the day before. I sat here and told Debbie (my wife) that during these days, when we are sitting at home in self-quarantine, I should try to write something every day.

Write something every day? Who did I think I was? When I made that statement, I forgot that I was dyslexic and very capable of miss-spelling the same word in a variety of ways, all in the same sentence. Oh, shouldn’t you be an avid reader to be a good writer? The last book I read cover to cover was probably ten years ago or better.

Well, I have never been one to follow the rules too carefully. So here goes nothing.

Some of you reading this, if I haven’t put you to sleep yet, know that I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). Yes, RA is an autoimmune disease that puts me in a high-risk category when it comes to the virus.

So what are we doing to protect ourselves? First, we are staying home and out of as much contact with others as possible. Washing hands a lot more frequently. We are spending time playing games that we usually do not have time for in our busy lives. In essence, we are slowing down and trying our best to stay safe and healthy.

Now that I have told you what we are doing. I guess that means I have done my writing for today. By the way, this is not as difficult as I thought it would be.
